Our strategy for success

We succeed by understanding our customers, building strong relationships with them and providing them with insurance software solutions and services that ensure they remain efficient and ahead of the competition.

Since the management buy-in from CSC in 2002, we have, through this partnership approach, established a market leading position in the provision of insurance software and services to the UK general insurance market.

We have broadened our customer base, to include larger brokers and insurers, and our product and services offering across the whole general insurance distribution chain. This growth has been achieved organically and through acquisition.

Our strategy focuses on two areas: to consolidate our market leading position in the UK and to continue our expansion overseas.

Consolidating our position

In order to consolidate our position in the UK, organic growth initiatives including the expansion of eTrading components and the continued development of corporate broker relationships, will be supplemented with carefully selected acquisitions of businesses, software distribution rights or intellectual property rights.

It is expected that growth initiatives will generally fall into two categories:

• the development or acquisition of products which have the potential to be rolled out to our significant installed customer base, or the potential to be extended into other territories; or
• the acquisition of established products with significant installed customer bases where there is the potential to increase revenues through the sale of additional or more modern replacement solutions.

Expansion overseas

In addition to extending any newly developed or acquired products into other territories, there is also an opportunity to capitalise on our expertise in electronic trading and eBusiness by offering solutions to insurers and brokers overseas where alternative distribution channels such as the Internet and call centres are generally less well developed than in the UK.
